
SM Gauge had been running Google Ads for a number of years with some success. The foundations were in place, but the setup hadn’t evolved much, and there wasn’t full visibility on what was driving results.
When we took over the account in September 2023, we made the following changes:
Rebuilt the conversion tracking framework to capture meaningful enquiries
Restructured the campaigns to improve efficiency and align with business goals
Introduced simplified reporting – clear, jargon-free, and focused on what matters
The most impressive results came in Q2 and Q3 of 2024:
A 753% increase in conversions in Q2
A significant drop in cost per conversion during the same period
Followed by a further 151% increase in conversions in Q3
With cost per conversion halved again
All achieved without increasing spend
For the first time, SM Gauge could see exactly where their leads were coming from – and make confident decisions with data to back them up.
